Organic energy bar maker JAMBAR made an exciting announcement, revealing the signing of distance runner and four-time Olympic Trials qualifier, Neely Spence Gracey, as a sponsored athlete.
Just three weeks ago, Gracey achieved a remarkable feat by shattering the Stroller Mile World Record by over 30 seconds, completing it in 5 minutes and 24 seconds while pushing her 2-year-old son. As a member of Team JAMBAR, Gracey joins other esteemed athletes like Olympic Gold Medalist Jonny Moseley, pro cyclist and Gravel Hall of Famer Ali Tetrick, and pro freestyle skier Ryan McElmon.
Being an avid runner and a mother herself, Gracey expressed her affinity for JAMBAR, considering it her go-to energy bar. The fact that JAMBAR uses only clean ingredients gives her the confidence also to provide them to her kids.
Presently, Gracey is diligently preparing for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in the marathon, scheduled for February 2024. Over the years, she has proudly represented Team USA on five occasions, participating in events such as the IAAF World Cross Country Championships and the Pan American Games. During her college days, Gracey secured eight NCAA DII National Championships. In 2016, she was recognized as the top American woman at the Boston Marathon. Aside from her athletic pursuits, Gracey holds the position of head of running for Guava Family, the stroller brand with which she achieved the Stroller Mile World Record.
As a founder of Get Running Coaching, Gracey celebrates a decade of coaching experience in her business. Additionally, she co-authored the book “Breakthrough Women’s Running: Dream Big and Train Smart.”
Jennifer Maxwell, the creator, CEO of JAMBAR, and co-founder of the original PowerBar, commended Gracey’s ability to balance motherhood and elite athletic performance, finding her an inspiring example. Maxwell expressed excitement about collaborating with Gracey and pledged support as she trains for the Olympic Trials.
Gracey revealed that her attraction to JAMBAR was driven by the company’s dedication to organic nutrition and its charitable initiatives. JAMBAR generously donates 50% of after-tax profits to organizations that promote active living and music. The name “JAMBAR” draws inspiration from Maxwell’s passion for music, and the bars are meticulously crafted in a state-of-the-art production facility located in San Rafael, California. Each JAMBAR is certified organic, containing 10 grams of protein, natural sweeteners, and premium ingredients. Vegan and gluten-free options are available, and the bars come in four delightful flavors: Malt Nut Melody, Chocolate Cha Cha, Musical Mango, and Jammin’ Jazzleberry.
When asked about her favorite flavor, Gracey confessed her love for the delectable Chocolate Cha Cha, while her kids are drawn to the delightful peanut butter taste of Malt Nut.
