Santa Clara Artistic Swimming Club Welcomes Aspiring Artistic Swimmers Ages 6-12 for Year-Round Competitive Programs Assessment
The Santa Clara Artistic Swimming Club is delighted to announce the upcoming Artistic Swimming Assessment Day, scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20, at the Gunderson High School Pool. The assessment day aims to identify talented young individuals aged 6 to 12 who are eager to enroll in the club’s comprehensive year-round competitive programs.

A representative from the Santa Clara Artistic Swimming Club emphasized that the assessment is open to participants aged 6 to 10 who aspire to join year-round competitive programs. Additionally, 11 and 12-year-olds with a background in sports such as rhythmic gymnastics, gymnastics, ballet, and swimming are also encouraged to attend this assessment.
During the assessment, each participant’s flexibility, extension, swimming proficiency, athleticism, maturity, and overall readiness for the program will be evaluated. Participants need to have water safety skills and feel comfortable away from the pool wall in the deep end.
Participants are required to come dressed in bathing suits and are advised to bring essential items such as a swimming cap, goggles, nose clip, yoga mat, towel, and a water bottle.
Due to limited availability, interested individuals are encouraged to secure their spots promptly. By August 24, each participant will receive an email detailing their recommended program based on the assessment.
The representative shared, “If your child enjoys water activities, loves swimming, and is drawn to a sport that combines athleticism, artistry, teamwork, and enjoyment, then the captivating realm of artistic swimming holds tremendous appeal.”
