EY has unveiled the names of 23 exceptional women founders who have been selected for the prestigious EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women™ North America Class of 2023, which includes six remarkable entrepreneurs from Canada. The official recognition of this year’s winning women will take place at EY’s esteemed Strategic Growth Forum® on November 9th. Among the accomplished Canadian women entrepreneurs are:
1. Bunny and Taran Ghatrora, the dynamic duo behind Blume, headquartered in Surrey, British Columbia. Blume is dedicated to creating award-winning, clean, and straightforward skincare products tailored for Gen Z and beyond. Their mission is to restore confidence to the 60% of young “womxn” who see their self-esteem dip during puberty, with a focus on addressing acne-prone and sensitive skin.
2. Sheena Russell, the visionary behind Made with Local in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Made with Local is on a mission to elevate sustainable snacking by crafting irresistibly delicious, nourishing foods that not only tantalize taste buds but also foster community impact. Pioneering the local food movement in consumer packaged goods, Made with Local is renowned for its gluten-free Real Food Bars, packed with 100% whole-food goodness.
3. Andrea Gomez and Rachelle Séguin, the innovators behind OMY Laboratories, hailing from Québec City, Québec. OMY Laboratories is a trailblazing Canadian lab that has introduced personalized dermocosmetics. Their revolutionary AI software, SkinIA, co-developed with dermatologists, AI experts, and chemists, redefines skin analysis. Using a photo and brief queries, OMY Laboratories customizes products to meet clients’ precise needs and skincare concerns, boasting over 8,000 eco-friendly, vegan cream and serum formulas crafted in Quebec.
4. Marie Chevrier, the driving force behind Sampler, based in Toronto, Ontario. Sampler specializes in delivering data-driven product experiences that forge personalized connections between individuals and brands. They are known for digitizing the product sampling landscape and count over 1,000 CPG brands and leading retailers among their clients.

This year marks the program’s 16th anniversary, dedicated to identifying talented women entrepreneurs with scalable companies in both Canada and the US. It provides them with vital network access, advisors, and resources to empower them to scale their enterprises and become market-leading innovators.
