Sporting Life’s 24th Annual 10K Raises Over $1 Million for Campfire Circle, Supporting Kids with Cancer and Their Families

Get ready to lace up those running shoes! Sporting Life, the renowned sports and style retailer, is gearing up for the 24th edition of the Sporting Life 10K. This iconic event is set to take over Yonge Street on Mother’s Day, May 12, rallying thousands of participants to support Campfire Circle.

Since its inception in 2000, the Sporting Life 10K has been a beacon of hope, raising over $25 million for Campfire Circle. This incredible charity provides year-round programs for children battling cancer or serious illness and their families. With an anticipated turnout of 20,000 runners, walkers, and strollers on race day, plus an additional 500+ participating virtually from May 12-31, this event promises to be one of the largest running events of the year.

Chad McKinnon, President of Sporting Life, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of the community, sponsors, and volunteers, highlighting the resilience shown in bouncing back to pre-pandemic registration numbers.

Campfire Circle aims to raise $2.1 million by Mother’s Day to continue their vital work of bringing healing through happiness to children and families facing medical challenges. CEO Alex Robertson emphasized the impact of the partnership with Sporting Life and the generosity of donors in creating life-changing experiences for children.
