Herbal Essences and Watsons Malaysia Unite to Combat Food Poverty with “Feed The Hungry” Initiative
Herbal Essences, a prominent brand under Procter & Gamble (P&G), has partnered with Watsons, Asia’s leading health and beauty retailer, for the impactful “Feed The Hungry” initiative. The aim of this collaboration is to eradicate food poverty among underprivileged communities in Malaysia. By purchasing Herbal Essences products at Watsons, consumers have joined forces to support this noble cause. For every Herbal Essences bio: renew bottle purchased online or in any offline Watsons store nationwide, RM0.5 was donated to The Lost Food Project Foundation (TLFP), providing crucial support to B40 communities across Malaysia.
Mr. Nantha Kalimuthu, Country Manager of P&G Malaysia, expressed his gratitude and pride for this meaningful endeavor, stating, “As a committed corporate citizen in Malaysia, we are honored to collaborate with our trusted partners on this initiative. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the consumers who have joined us in this noble cause. This initiative exemplifies our dedication to making a positive impact as a #ForceForGrowth and a #ForceForGood in Malaysia.”
This initiative is part of P&G’s ongoing efforts to assist those in need, particularly marginalized communities who are disproportionately affected during challenging times. In 2022, P&G Malaysia and TLFP launched the #LeaveNoOneHungry campaign, which successfully provided over 12,000 meals to those in need, ensuring that no one goes to bed hungry or gets left behind.
Caryn Loh, Managing Director of Watsons Malaysia, emphasized the honor of collaborating with P&G Malaysia and The Lost Food Project in the “Feed The Hungry” Initiative. She stated, “Through this initiative, we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those struggling to put food on the table. By coming together and supporting one another, we can make a meaningful impact and bring hope to those in need.”
