In just a few months since the brand officially launched in November of 2018, Nafsika’s Garden is taking the vegan cheese industry by storm.
Nafsika’s Garden is owned by Nafsika Antypas of Nafsika Inc., who is also the TV Host and Executive Producer of the lifestyle series, Plant-Based By Nafsika. The TV show is the first exclusively vegan series on mainstream television, airing across the US on the A&E Network to 70 million households across America. Season 3 is currently in production and Nafsika’s Garden’s cheese will be featured in this next Season.
When asked why Antypas decided to develop her own vegan cheese brand, she replied, “Because I knew that cheese was stopping most people from going vegan; and I wanted to find a solution to that problem. And, helping people go vegan, helps everyone.”
Nafsika’s Garden offers superior taste, quality and a cheesy texture without the cholesterol and is completely allergen free. That is, it is free from dairy, casein, lactose, gluten, soy, nuts, and GMO, making it kid-friendly and school-safe. The product is coconut oil based and is certified vegan by Vegecert. Its various flavours come in block, sliced or shredded, and has even recently launched a Greek ‘Feta’ and poutine cheese style. And, best of all, they cook and melt like real cheese.
It also tastes very much like the ‘real thing.’ Antypas admits, “I donated my vegan cheese at an event last month and people were eating it, at first, not knowing it was vegan. There is a huge misconception that vegan cheese or vegan anything does not taste good, but I’m here to change that.”
Nafsika’s Garden can be found at various grocery chains across the country including Walmart, where the brand is officially the very first vegan cheese ever to become available in its deli section. Just like her television series, Antypas has managed to make ‘vegan’ more mainstream.
