ASA Entertainment has announced that the 17th annual World Surf League (WSL) QS3000 Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro powered by CELSIUS is set to take place at the iconic Oceanside Pier in Oceanside, California, from September 22 to 24, 2023. This nationally televised event stands as the largest female surf contest globally, bringing together over 140 top professional surfers. Attendees can enjoy free admission to witness the thrilling competition. The event is expected to feature renowned women’s surfing personalities, including former Super Girl Champions like Sage Erickson, Courtney Conlogue, Caitlin Simmers, Alyssa Spencer, Lakey Peterson, Samantha Sibley, and US Open Champion Sawyer Lindblad.
Beyond the exceptional surfing action, the event promises an array of exciting attractions, including a Festival Village with live concerts and family-friendly activities, the annual Super Girl Gamer esports tournament, an all-female DJ Competition, various free fitness and wellness classes, celebrity speakers, panel discussions promoting female leadership and sustainability, an art exhibition celebrating women’s creativity, autograph signings, a beer garden, a food court, and a mentorship program connecting young surfers with accomplished female professionals.
Adding to the event’s offerings in 2023 are new components such as a women’s beach volleyball tournament, a showcase for female content creators, a fashion show, and a women’s pro skimboarding event.
As part of the CELSIUS Essential Vibes Tour, the Nissan Concert Series will feature 15 artists performing free live concerts, with notable acts like Sean Kingston, Aloe Blacc, Bea Miller, Beach Weather, Flipturn, Loren Gray, Bipolar Sunshine, Bikini Trill, Hello Sister, and more.
The event is a cornerstone of the Super Girl Series, a platform with a mission to empower, include, and promote equality for women through events spanning action sports, esports, and lifestyle. These events offer opportunities for young women in industries traditionally dominated by men, encompassing athletic, social, cultural, educational, and entertainment aspects.
