This achievement positions the company as the first in the U.S. and the second worldwide to earn this esteemed certification. The Martin OM Biosphere guitar was meticulously crafted to demonstrate the company’s dedication to conserving and revitalizing coral reefs, vital ecosystems known for their remarkable diversity and ecological significance.
Distinguished by being 100% FSC® certified (license code FSC-C008304), the OM Biosphere guitar stands as only the second plastic-free guitar in production, following the precedent set by the 00L Earth guitar. Notably, even the accompanying gig bag is eco-friendly, being fashioned from hemp, marking a first for Martin.
With the inclusion of the Preferred by Nature certification, the OM Biosphere model will proudly bear the Preferred by Nature Hummingbird Seal. This prestigious emblem, earned through rigorous assessment, distinguishes the guitar as meeting both sustainability criteria and climate requirements, embodying a comprehensive symbol of commitment to environmental responsibility.
