Thailand’s Vocational Education Institute Grants Honorary Degree to Mark Brinn for Agricultural Machinery Education Excellence
Mark Brinn, CNH Industrial Managing Director for Southeast Asia and Japan, has been awarded an honorary bachelor’s degree in Crop Production by Thailand’s Vocational Education Institute. This prestigious recognition highlights Brinn’s exceptional leadership and dedication to advancing agricultural machinery education. Notably, he is the first foreign recipient of this honorary degree. The esteemed representative of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, Mr. Kasem Watanachai, presented the honorary degree to Brinn during a regional graduation event at Pathumthani Vocational Education College.
Brinn commented, “This significant honor reflects the unwavering commitment and collaboration of our CNH team. Fostering the next generation of agricultural talent is a collective effort. In partnership with Thailand’s premier vocational institutions, we are determined to drive innovation and enhance agricultural machinery expertise.”
Educated at the Cranfield Institute of Technology in the UK with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Technology and Management, Mark Brinn boasts over 20 years of experience with CNH Industrial. His tenure has seen him take on progressively influential roles across the region, consistently advocating for innovation and the development of agricultural talent.
The Vocational Education Institute bestows honorary degrees upon exceptional individuals who have made significant strides in their vocational training fields. The Northern Institute of Vocational Education in Agriculture (NIVEA) nominated Brinn for this honor, underscoring how CNH Industrial’s support harmonizes with the goals of the Vocational Education Board and NIVEA’s policies.
Earlier this year, CNH Industrial received the distinguished Best Contributor to Thailand’s Education Award 2023, further affirming its enduring commitment to Thai agricultural education.
“Under Mark’s guidance, collaborative endeavors have transformed teaching methodologies, expanded agricultural machinery proficiency in the community, and elevated cash crop cultivation in Thailand,” noted Mr. Prachak Tasri, Director of the Northern Institute of Vocational Education in Agriculture.
Distinguished attendees at the graduation ceremony included the Minister of Education, Ms. Treenuch Tienthon; the Secretary of Vocational Education, Mr. Thanu Wongjinda; Pathum Thani Province Governor, Mr. Chaiwat Chunkosum; Phatum Thani Provincial Court Chief Judge Mr. Kittpong Thongpui; and Phatum Thani Red Cross Society President, Mrs. Kullasub Chuenkosum.
